Museum of the Moon Events

To celebrate Museum of the Moon, that will be with us from 12 October until 10 November, we have a series of events for you to enjoy – there is something for everyone.

  • Moonlight Gala Dinner – 27 October

Music

  • Sinfonia Viva: Holst’s The Planets – 18 October
    A spectacular night of music a against the stunning backdrop of Museum of the Moon. The concert features members of Derby Cathedral Choir, and music by Mozart and Richard Strauss.
  • Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon Live Performance – 10 November
    To celebrate the 50th anniversary of Pink Floyd’s seminal album, we welcome local band Floyd in the Flesh to entertain.
  • Evensong under the Moon – Every Thursday
    Relax and re-charge to the sound of Derby Cathedral’s adult choir. A perfect way to end the working day.

  • Messy Cathedral – 15 October
    Family church under the moon! Bring the children along to enjoy stories, prayer, crafts, songs and the sharing of food.
  • Kids take-over with National Space Centre – 1 November
    National Space Centre comes to Derby! Experience an interactive talk and fun moon-related learning workshops, delivered by Space Centre experts.
