Derby Cathedral exists as a place for everyone to explore faith, life and heritage; to find sanctuary; and to experience light, beauty and innovation at the heart of our city.

The generosity of our supporters sustains all of this. It funds inspiring worship, exceptional music, and pastoral care, alongside arts, culture and community events that serve the people of Derby and Derbyshire.

Why your support matters

Running the Cathedral and our regular services costs £12,500 every week. Since funding support from the Church of England and Government is limited, we rely on income from events, fundraising, and the generosity of people like you. Every donation, large or small, helps keep our doors open, our music alive, and our historic building standing for future generations.

How to give

Our preferred way to donate is through the parish Giving Scheme, which is a simple, secure, and efficient direct debit service. Giving this way reduces our administration costs and provides the Cathedral with reliable, regular income. You can also opt into Gift Aid, which adds 25% to your donation at no extra cost to you.
