Leave a Legacy

Leaving a gift in your Will is a powerful way to ensure that Derby Cathedral can continue to be a place for future generations to explore faith, life and heritage.

Legacies are a vital source of income to the Cathedral, with previous gifts in Wills from supporters having allowed us to complete some transformational work here to the life, mission and maintenance of Derby Cathedral.

So, once you have made provision for your loved ones, please do consider leaving a gift in your Will. We welcome gifts of any size and enjoy hearing about a supporter’s connection the Cathedral.

Most people leave their gift without conditions, so that it can be used wherever it will have the greatest impact in the years ahead.  This could be to:

• Maintain and preserve the beauty of Derby Cathedral for future generations, by ensuring that urgent conservation and repair work is completed and our iconic building is not at risk
• Support the musical heritage and choral education of Derby Cathedral Choir, enabling outreach programmes, choral tuition and refurbishment of the Cathedral organ
• Help develop and fund education programmes for school children and young people
• Grow as a hub for arts and culture events
• Support the upkeep of Derby Cathedral’s life, mission and community role through cultural, outreach and development projects
