Leave a Legacy

Once you have made provision for your loved ones, you might consider leaving a lasting gift in your will helping to secure the future of Derby Cathedral for generations to come.

Legacies are a vital source of income to the Cathedral.  We welcome all legacy gifts and promise to use your gift to make a difference to the life, mission and maintenance of Derby Cathedral.

Most people leave their gift without conditions so that it can be used wherever it will have the greatest effect in the years ahead.  This could be to:

• Maintain and preserve the beauty of Derby Cathedral for future generations, by ensuring that urgent conservation and repair work is completed and our iconic building is not at risk
• Support the musical heritage and choral education of Derby Cathedral Choir, enabling outreach programmes, choral tuition and refurbishment of the Cathedral organ
• Help develop and fund education programmes for school children and young people
• Support the upkeep of Derby Cathedral’s life, mission and community role through cultural, outreach and development projects
