Derby Cathedral is a gem in the heart of the city, and a well-recognised landmark for Derby residents and its visitors.  If your business is interested in supporting the Cathedral and contributing to our heritage and role in the community, we would love to hear from you.

The sponsorship and support from local businesses plays an important role in enabling us to provide arts and culture events, as well as our community work.

There are many opportunities to build mutually beneficial partnerships, for your business, team members and the Cathedral, including:

  • Sponsorship and support of key Cathedral events (see the opportunities below)
  • Fundraise or donate to help fund a specific project at the Cathedral
  • Offering pro bono or in-kind support
  • Volunteering opportunities for the team or individuals

New Corporate Sponsorship Opportunity

Tree of Light Sponsor (1st Dec – 6th Jan): £1,000 + VAT

This Christmas we will once again be hosting a Christmas tree with a difference, as we invite visitors and the hundreds of people attending our Christmas services, to come together for a moment of reflection, sanctuary and light throughout the festive period.

From Tuesday 1st December until Wednesday 6th January, the glow of love and kindness will be spread by writing a message to be hung on the Tree of Light.

The Tree of Light sponsor will benefit from:

  • Prominent logo recognition in our Christmas Service brochure
    • 5,000 brochures will be available in the Cathedral from mid-October
  • Prominent logo recognition next to the Tree of Light
  • Media and social media coverage promoting the Tree of Light
  • Acknowledgement on Derby Cathedral website and link to company website

This October (2026), Helios, a spectacular seven-metre model of the sun is set to light up Derby Cathedral to launch our centenary celebrations, but it has only been possible through the support of our corporate sponsors.
