Derby Cathedral to host Interfaith Prayer Vigil for Peace in Ukraine

At 14:30 on Sunday 25th February 2024 Derby Cathedral will be hosting an interfaith prayer vigil to pray for peace in Ukraine. There will be a time of silent prayer and we will light candles as a symbol of our prayers for peace. We will be joined by members of the local Ukrainian community.

All the faith communities of Derby and Derbyshire are invited to attend and join together in prayer as we mark the second anniversary of the Russian invasion and remember all those who have lost their lives as a result.

The Vigil will be led by the Dean of Derby accompanied by the Bishop of Repton. All who wish to attend are invited to gather from 14:15 and the vigil will last for 30 minutes.

Please do come and support our prayers with all the faith communities for peace in Ukraine.
