Archbishop of Canterbury to visit Derby Cathedral

The Archbishop of Canterbury, the Most Revd & Rt Hon Justin Welby, is to visit Derby Cathedral during a special day of Prayer on Saturday 13 April.

‘Transformed Lives: Prayer Day’ is open to all and Prayer Stations will be set up around the Cathedral for people to engage with throughout the day.
The archbishop will join in those activities and participate in a special prayer service at around 16:15, where we will hope to bring all our prayers together.

During his visit the archbishop will meet people of all ages from across the diocese, in five different locations.

The Bishop of Derby, The Rt Revd Libby Lane, said: “We are looking forward to praying with Archbishop Justin across the diocese with and for the people of Derbyshire, Derby City and beyond.”

More information about Derby Cathedral’s ‘Transformed Lives: Prayer Day’ coming soon.
