Tree of Light

Escape the hustle and bustle this Christmas and visit Derby’s beautiful Tree of Light inside the tranquil setting of Derby Cathedral, a place for everyone to come together for reflection, sanctuary and light throughout the festive period.

During your visit, join us in spreading the glow of love and kindness by writing a message to be displayed on the Tree of Light. This could be a message remembering a loved one, a Christmas greeting or a prayer.

Children are also welcome to decorate our tree with a message, poem or a drawing!

The Tree of Light will be in the Cavendish area of the Cathedral from Tuesday 3 December until Sunday 5 January.

There is a suggested donation of £3 for a message. Donations will go towards the work and care of Derby Cathedral, keeping the doors open for welcome and warmth.
