The Coronation of King Charles III

Join us on Saturday 6th May and watch the Coronation of King Charles III live on the big screen, inside the beautiful setting of Derby Cathedral.

You are invited to come along with their friends and family to watch the historic event on the big screen with refreshments of tea, coffee, and cake available throughout the day along with Coronation themed activities to keep the children entertained!

Doors will open at 09:00, with the Coronation scheduled to begin at 11:00.

This is a family event, we hope you can join us!

The Big Lunch

Join us Sunday, 7th May and take part in The Big Lunch, a nationwide act of celebration and friendship. You’re invited to bring a picnic lunch to the Cathedral to enjoy alongside each other, with activities for children between 12:30 and 14:30.

The Big Help Out

On Monday 8th May the Cathedral will also be taking part in the Big Help Out, with a day of activities and taster sessions with our Cathedral Volunteers. There will also be an opportunity for children to have a go at playing the Cathedral organ, culminating in a royal-themed concert!

The Big Help Out will take place in the Cathedral from 10:00 to 16:00.
