Derby Cathedral’s Annual Remembrance Sunday Services

On Sunday 12th November there will be special services taking place to commemorate Remembrance Sunday.

The Cathedral Eucharist will take place at 9:45 inside the Cathedral followed by a minute’s silence at 11:00.

The City’s Annual Remembrance Sunday Service and Parade will take place in Derby Market Place. There will be a short service in the Market Place at 11:00, led by The Very Revd Dr Peter Robinson, Dean of Derby, during which a two-minute silence will be observed. Following this, wreaths will be laid at the War Memorial.

The Parade will include troops from the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers 148 Divisional Support Company, as well as members of local veteran and youth organisations, parading through the city centre.

At 17:15 Evensong will take place inside the Cathedral, sung by the Voluntary Choir.

On Saturday 11th November The City of Derby’s Armistice Day Service will take place at Derby Market Place at 10:55. This is being lead by The Very Revd Dr Peter Robinson, Dean of Derby.
