Cathedral Information following the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II

Please note the below with effect from Friday 9th September

The Cathedral will be open from  08:00 – 19:00,  7 days a week during the ten days of mourning. A book of condolence is available to sign and you are welcome to light a candle. Floral tributes can be left on Cathedral Green or if you wish, inside the Cathedral building where a member of the Cathedral team will display them for you.

Services will go ahead as normal each day and all services will include special prayers.

In addition we will be holding ‘Pause for prayer and reflection’ each day at midday for those who wish to come along.

There will also be a special Service of Commemoration and Thanksgiving for Her Late Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II, on Wednesday 14th September at 17:30 (Attendees to be seated by 17:15.) This is a service for the people of Derby and Derbyshire and will be a British Sign language (BSL) interpreted service.

On Sunday 18th there will be a service of reflection taking place at 17:15 for those who wish to come along. This service will be a BSL interpreted service.
