The Lampedusa Cross: Cathedral Prayer Vigil

19.02.2022
The Lampedusa Cross: Cathedral Prayer Vigil and Museum Event.
Saturday, February 19th
Our neighbours at Derby Museums are currently hosting the Lampedusa Cross as part of a UK tour from the British Museum.
This is a significant piece of history that marks the perilous human story of those who have or continue to seek refuge and sanctuary as part of the British Museums Spotlight Loan Crossings.
Derby Cathedral will be holding a Prayer Vigil for refugees from 10.30 am to 11.00 am.
There will also be a Lampedusa Cross event for the community in Derby Museums World Collection Gallery from 11.00 am to 3.00 pm. This is a free and informal family event that is a celebration of welcome, with music, conversation, food and creative activities.
Everyone is most welcome to these two events.
