Meet at the front of Derby Cathedral by the gates to be ready to move off at 10.30 am
The route will be via Queen St. to St. Alkmund’s footbridge and into St. Mary’s RC Church. Then down the hill towards the River Derwent and a visit to the medieval Chapel of St. Mary on the Bridge.
Derek Limer will be the tour guide and will talk about the buildings, places and people who have been associated with the area in the past centuries with the help of historic photographs of the area.
A charge of £5 will be the cost per person all the money going to the Cathedral Friends funds. Please book early to avoid disappointment.
Following the Walk;
New Museum of Making – near the Bridge Chapel the Museum has an excellent Coffee Shop for hot drinks and lunches. Admission to the Museum is free.
Derby Cathedral – Peace Doves – during the afternoon the new exhibition will be open until 9 pm.
