Cathedrals at Night
Friday 24th September, extended opening until 9.30pm
This extended opening offers visitors the opportunity to explore and discover the Cathedrals many treasures. Lose yourself in the beauty of the Cathedral as it moves from daylight to dusk during this evening of choral music, heritage and culture.
See our stunning architecture and our iconic stained-glass windows as the light in the space fades to evening. Learn about Bess of Hardwick and the Cavendish family and marvel at the connections to many famous names from history such as Florence Nightingale and Joseph Wright.
Visitors to the Cathedral will be able to listen to a live rehearsal by our Voluntary Choir between 7.30 pm and 9 pm.
A number of Tower Tours will be available on the evening, priced at £7 per person and you can book these now!
This special evening coincides with the amazing Derby Festé and what better way to watch Cathedral Green then from the top of our tower!
Entry to the Cathedral is free, donations are very welcome.
Please continue to pray for people who are worried, for medical staff, for key workers and for people making hard decisions.
“Do not let your hearts be troubled, and do not let them be afraid.” (John 14.27)
